Dr. Bauza graduated from the University of Miami with a
Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2005 as a Howard Hughes
Medical scholar. She received a second Bachelor of Science
in Vision Science in 2007 from Nova Southeastern University
(NSU). In 2009, Dr. Bauza received her Doctor of Optometry
degree from NSU. She received a clinical excellence award
in the area of rigid gas permeable contact lenses during her
senior year at NSU. During her final year of schooling, Dr. Bauza
interned at the locally renowned ophthalmology group, Aran Eye
Associates, where she was further trained in the treatment and
management of ocular disease. She also completed an internship at
Fox Medical Center in Kendall, Florida.
Dr. Bauza is a member of the American Optometric
Association (AOA) and the Florida Optometric Association
(FOA). Dr. Bauza is therapeutically certified by the State
of Florida to diagnose, manage, and treat various ocular
and visual disorders. Her particular areas of interest
include contact lenses, pediatric eye care, and the
co-management of cataract and LASIK surgical
patients.
Dr. Bauza is a native of South Florida. Her goal
as an optometrist is to provide the utmost
quality eye care to her patients. Dr. Bauza
strives to meet the visual and ocular health needs of all
her patients. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
